Purchase AIMAll Professional

AIMAll operates either in Professional mode or Standard mode.

To operate AIMAll in Professional mode, a valid aimallpro.lic file containing a computer-specific (node locked) AIMAll Professional license key must be present in the main AIMAll directory or a valid pair of AIMAll Professional site license files must be present in the AIMAll directory.

AIMAll Professional enables some major new features compared to the Standard mode. Currently, these new features involve the visualization of data, the use of multiple processors (shared memory only) for AIMAll jobs and AIMQB GUI batch jobs with an unlimited number of wavefunctions. Some upcoming new features may also only be enabled in AIMAll Professional.

AIMAll Professional licenses must be purchased.

Purchases of AIMAll Professional contribute to the development of the AIMAll package.

AIMAll Standard

The AIMAll Standard operating mode is the default mode. It does not require an AIMAll Professional license and is free of charge, though registration is requested. The AIMAll Standard operating mode imposes a limit on the size of the molecular wavefunction data that can be used for running shared memory multi-processor calculations and for generating visualization-related data files (*.*viz) by AIMQB, AIMExt, AIMInt and AIMSum, and displaying them with AIMStudio. This limit is 12 or fewer atoms and 400 or fewer primitive basis functions. AIMAll Standard also imposes a limit of 3 wavefunctions per batch job when using AIMQB in GUI mode. Depending on the evolution of AIMAll, future versions of AIMAll may also impose limits on the Standard mode for other new features.

AIMAll Professional

The AIMAll Professional operating mode does not impose any multi-processor limits, visualization limits or other limits on the size of the molecular wavefunction data. AIMAll Professional does not impose any limits on the number of wavefunctions per batch job when using AIMQB in GUI mode. In order for AIMAll to operate in AIMAll Professional mode on a computer, either a valid aimallpro.lic file containing a computer-specific (node locked) AIMAll Professional license key must be present in the main AIMAll directory or a valid pair of AIMAll Professional site license files must be present in the AIMAll directory. AIMAll Professional licenses must be purchased.

AIMAll Professional License Packs

AIMAll Professional licenses are typically sold in "Packs" for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 separate, specific computers of any kind (Windows, Mac OS X or Linux). Each node of a cluster is considered a separate, specific computer. In order to accomodate large Linux clusters, a special AIMAll Professional License Pack consisting of a site license for Linux computers is also available, which allows the use of AIMAll Professional on an unlimited number of Linux computers (including any Linux cluster nodes) at a designated site.

The price of an AIMAll Professional License Pack is dependent on both the number of computers to be licensed as well as the intended use of AIMAll (Commercial or Non-Commercial).

Purchases include email support and free AIMAll Professional updates for the licensed computers.

Academic research, education and Government research are common examples of Non-Commercial Use.

Each node of a Linux cluster is considered a separate, specific computer. Customers wanting to run AIMAll Professional on any Linux computers at a designated site, including any Linux cluster nodes, must purchase a Linux site license.

Currently only shared memory multiprocessing is available.

Payment Methods

AIMAll Professional License Packs can be purchased online with a Credit Card or PayPal funds or by Wire Transfer (Bank Transfer) or by paper mailing a Check or Money Order. All funds must be in U.S. dollars (USD).

Purchase AIMAll Professional Online (via PayPal) With a Credit Card or PayPal Funds

The simplest and quickest way to obtain AIMAll Professional License Packs is to purchase them online through PayPal using either a Credit Card or funds from your PayPal account if you have one. Please note that a PayPal account is not required for Credit Card purchases. To proceed:

Select the License Pack Type you want.
Enter the Name and Email address of the License Recipient, i.e., the primary person who will be receiving the aimallpro.lic files.
Click the "Buy Now" button. You will be taken to a secure PayPal website where your purchase transaction will occur. Note that you will be given the opportunity to purchase multiple AIMAll Professional License Packs in one transaction if you so choose.
After your purchase transaction, you will be Emailed a receipt from PayPal and, within 24 hours (usually much less), a PDF receipt from TK Gristmill Software.

Fill out the AIMAll Professional order form (and / or your organizations own purchase order form, if applicable) and Email it to aim@tkgristmill.com or paper mail it to the postal address given on the order form.
Once your order form has been received, we will Email you a corresponding Invoice, usually within a few hours.
Once you receive an Invoice for your desired order, you should paper mail a copy of the Invoice along with a corresponding Check or Money Order to the postal address given on the Invoice. The Check or Money Order (in USD) should be made payable to: "TK Gristmill Software".
Once your payment has been received and processed, we will Email you a PDF receipt from TK Gristmill Software.

Getting Your AIMAll Professional License Files if you Purchased an AIMAll Profesional License Pack for N computers (N = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10).

After payment has been received and the transfer of funds officially approved, you will be prompted by Email to send us aimall-serialnumber.txt files for the computers you wish to use your AIMAll Professional licenses on.

An aimall-serialnumber.txt file is generated automatically in the main AIMAll directory (e.g., C:\AIMAll\aimall-serialnumber.txt) the first time you run any of the AIMAll programs in Standard mode on a computer.

After we receive your aimall-serialnumber.txt files, we will Email you corresponding aimallpro.lic files. An aimallpro.lic file for a given computer should be saved in the main AIMAll directory (e.g., C:\AIMAll\aimallpro.lic).

If you purchased a License Pack for N computers, be sure to Email N separate aimall-serialnumber.txt files, one for each of the N different computers you wish to run AIMAll Professional on.

Getting Your AIMAll Professional License Files if You Purchased a Linux Site License.

After payment has been received and the transfer of funds officially approved, you will be prompted by Email to send information about your designated site, including the Name of the site, the Location of the site and the Name of the Owner or Leader of the site.

After your designated site is approved, we will Email you a pair of AIMAll Professional site license files. This pair of AIMAll Professional site license files can then be saved in the main AIMAll directory (e.g., /usr/local/AIMAll) of any Linux computer at your site that you wish to run AIMAll Professional on.
